I bought a 95 9000 CSE about 2 1/2 years ago. I had my choice of several at a dealer in NH (Saab Nashua North), that bought them in bulk from chase leasing or someone like that. I picked three that met my specs and tested all three. They were similar, but there were also differences in how each felt.
I bought an extended warranty which gave me great peace of mind, so that anything going wrong would not be dreaded, but only a minor inconvenience. With two repairs, neither too major, it has paid for itself.
In fact ithe wty runs out at the end of the month and I may get another from GE. The car is running well, and I would rather pay $1800 now for three years of coverage, than have one big repair that costs nearly that much, or more.
Anyway, if you're looking for a car off lease, check around and expand your search to dealers within a couple of hours.
I purposely did not buy from a NY area dealer. Three years on these streets was not a car I wanted.
