Brother has a 98 900 SET 2.0T & it's been almost flawless in it's 60K mile life. Battery & exh system needed to be replaced & besides normal service, that's been it!!
A friend had a V70 volvo & it was in the shop 6-8 times for different problems + normal maintenance in the almost 2 years they owned the car. He still loved the car & has always (last ummm, 15+years) given my brother & I a hard time that we had a saab, or 2. Anyways, he finally sold the volvo & purchased a Viggen convert. Totally loves everything about the viggen but his 2 kids hate riding around in it. They complain about their hair getting messed up & stuff...
I looked for a year before I found a 5 speed 900 SET 97+ & there were actually 2 at the auction that day :o)
