I don't have specific experience with either of those tires. I did have a set of the predecessor Yoko AVSi tires on my Miata and they were very good but not great in the wet, a bit noisy, and I don't think I got 30k miles out of them, although that had a lot to do with my driving style and autocrossing on them didn't help either :) I understand that the new Yoko is supposed to be quieter (thus the "db" part of the name) and are supposed to be good in the rain. One thing I will say is that they had negligible grip when the temp got to about 40* or so.
Nobody puts treadlife warranties on high performance tires. The new Dunlop D60A2s I just got have a treadlife warranty, though more of a grand touring tire.
My piece of advice is get the tires from a place where you have a money-back trial period. I think both tires offer such a trial period, that way you have only the cost of mount and balance to loose. I'd also try the Yokos first, given the 78% additional cost of the Michelins.
Just my $0.02,
Scott
