How is it that Swedish apartments measure only 0.1? Guess they must be shielded from the earth's magnetic field. Anywho, all electromagnetism is not the same. It is entirely possible for the earth's natural magnetic field to be harmless, while other, man-made magnetism is harmful. So it may not in fact be "a load of crap". Proximity to power lines is known to cause cancer, due to... electromagnetic field.
