Also my garage has no drain . The floor is inclined so water drains out into driveway/street . I have considered hooking my hose to the hot water tap in the laundry room but I am still going to have ice everywhere ! The do it yourself pay carwashes around here are all the "cubicle " type ,open on one side . I have used them during warmer weather , even bringing my Wall Mart Car Ramps to help me get way under the car without having to lie on my belly . It is the winter road salt I would really like to get at , but I worry that I may be doing more damage by swilling salt(water) from the bottom of the car into all the knooks & crannies .
I have wondered about that potent detergent too. There are about 4 or 5 grades of carwash options available but non with "water only" . Strange .
