I used to consider myself a "hardcore" aim addict, but I hardly use it anymore. Reason? I _hate_ the :) thingys. They drive me nuts. I refuse to use them. So people ended up thinking I was a jerk because I'd joke around and they thought I was serious. Anyway, theres a few websites to test how addidcted you are to aim. I took one a scored about a 16%. I tried to find it to post, but alas, no such luck. Maybe someone knows of it?
Now that AOL has made "geeky" things more aceptable to mainstream America, it seems everybody uses chat, aim, etc. I agree its really strange how many people use the internet, when a not too long ago the internet was something exclusive to Anthony Edwards and his geeky buddies...
Anyone remember the old versions of aim, where you could type in certian text messages and send them to people and cause the recipient's computer to crash and the like? If my memory serves me, it was on 3.2 and earlier aim...and you typed things like "#;&77"...I'd use aim much more if this "bug" hadn't been deleted!
