I say if your into trying go ahead and give it a shot. You have to take your time and be carefull with the tint to get it right. The "professional" kit is nothing but a spray bottle, razor, and plastic squeegy. I use a razor knife, and old windex or similar bottle with a mixture of dish wash detergent and water, and a regular squeegy supplimented by an old credit card (you may want to cut the card to get better angles for the corners. If you get bubbling and can't get ride of it, heat up the glass gently from the other side with a hair drier or heat gun while pressing out the bubble, you may have to make a small cut to release the air. I can't stress gently because if you heat to fast you'll ruin the tint. The back glass will alway be a pain no matter what car it is, but on hatches its a little easier since you can reposition the hatch and not have to work from the back seat. Trust me on this one you will not finish this in one day with good results and you'll use way more than one roll of tint, try more like 3-5 if you don't mess up, and depending on how many pieces of glass your tinting. So if you not up to all of that, then I suggest getting it done by a pro you'll save yourself alot of pain.
