First....take the right footwear. It may still be a little wet and
gritty as the sweepers haven't been out yet.
Exciting? The ball team (Cannons) were supposed to be playing
but they aren't. The Flames are out. The bar scene here is
excellent but don't ask me to name one. I don't know your taste
in bars/music/etc.. Here's an entertainment guide from the Herald: http://www.canada.com/calgary/sports/ (This page is not just sports.)
There are loads of super restaurents. Check Gilchrist on the left hand links for something special to tickle your palate when you get here: http://calgary.cbc.ca/radio1/ceo.html#
And when you get here, we'll be pretty well melted out and running
15 deg. C (60F+) Floods! The weather link's below. The skiing would be
just great. A drive to Banff (80 miles) would be excellent. Shopping? Chinook Mall (on your way in on McLeod Trail) or downtown.
TV hockey is hot hot hot (Stanley Cup) so the sports bars should be
hopping. We have IMAX big screen here if you like IMAX. We also have Canada's best zoo and one of the best anywhere.
That's a nice day's drive from Great Falls. Take extra winshield fluid.
Well you know that! You're just a few miles away!
