In the past two days, I've decided to redo the stereo in my 93 9000CSE. ALthough many Saabers are far more mature, and have outgrown the big stereo thing, I haven't. I started by removing the spare tire, and wood shelf which covers that area. I then lined the resulting whole with fiberglase sheeting, and sprayed a rubberized undercoating over it. Three coats of that, and I have a soundproof area. I then cut a 3'x4' sheet of particle board so it fit over the hole, and cut out my two 10 inch holes for my subs. Eventually, I plan on covering the board with matching carpet, and a speaker cover, so the two JL subs will have a nice stock like look. (As much as two 10" subs can look stock I suppose). I will post pictures when I finish.
