pro is the only one you can burn Cd's with. I've used many other players and I think Musicmatch is well worth the dollar. I paid the $20.00 back in 1997 w/ lifetime upgrades and still am getting free updates and am very happy w/ the software. I'm not sure if they offer lifetime upgrades anymore. Musicmatch organizes and properly tags the 5000+ mp3's I have. It's also is like multiple programs in one; burner, ripper, mp3 portable plugin, library, and etc. It's nice for mp3 portables b/c you can change the bitrate while transferring so you fit more songs on a smaller card.
shop around though and make sure you get the one that has the features you want, one thing to think about is if you need multiple programs to do a job it means you need multiple upgrades in the future, sometimes multiple costs.
