There are bad calls in every game. Sometimes you end up on the lucky end of a bad call, sometimes on the unlucky. How many goals have been called back so far in this world cup due to bad calls? It's a part of the game you have to live with.
Normally, the team with the home field advantage gets the benefit of bad calls (ever watch the Lakers play at home?). It's to be expected--in any sport.
Was the carding of Totti a bad call? Yes. Was it egregiously terrible and stupid? I don't really think so. We've all seen a lot worse. Totti certainbly earned his first yellow. Did Totti getting thrown out in the last five minutes of the game result in Italy's loss? I don't think so. It might have marginally contributed, but at the end of the day Italy lost because Korea ran at them relentlessly and effectively for the duration of the game. Korea played a great game and wore Italy down. They deserve some credit.
BTW, Korea has a chance to take out the entire southern part of Europe--first Portugal, then Italy, next Spain--unbelievable World Cup!
