I don't know them by chassis design, but I tink your talking about the ones from say 5-6 years ago. I don't know they kinda look dated to me even though some of them are like 95's, 96 model years. The newer ones(2001-2002's)only seem to look good to me in the M-3 version, as if the others are missing something that mnake them stand out in the crowd. Maybe all cars now look like Honda Civic to me, I don't know. I like the Porsce 968 and 928(with the flip up lights, that's cool), and in highschool(late 80's)I thought the hottest car I had ever seen was the Porsche 944 Turbo(88'-90'models). I mentioned the Porsche though cause they are kinda getting to where most anyone can buy them if they wanted(priced in the teens)and that's a big plus. Because the body styles don't change that much so others really don't know what you've spent on the thing or what year model it is, only that it's a Porsche. You don't see them all the time either, kinda like a SAAB I guess. But everbody knows that BMW along with so many other car companies change there designs every 3-5yrs, Not only does this make certain cars look dated, but in a sense de-values them in the process. Great for second hand shopping though..
See Ya,
Phil
