It's best not to get wax on the black trim in the first place (because as we all find out it's VERY hard to get off).
I find that applying Mother's "Back to Black" (or a similar product) BEFORE waxing is the key. That way the trim is "wet" and it doesn't soak up the wax like a sponge even if you get some on there... Try this method... It works for me!
