I am ready to sell my Saab now. It's not that I dont like the 9-3 or that I want something better, rather it is because of the dealership I so detest! If you are in Fort Wayne or anywhere near do yourself a favor and drive the extra hour and a half to IndySaab to purchase your vehicle. Awhile ago I posted to mac, a gentleman asking about the Kelley dealership(as in Tom Kelley, as in the indy racing sponsor guy, as in the guy that lives down the block from me, as in the huge jack a$$) I left mac a post about all the problems I have had with the dealership since day one, and searching through the archives I could not find it so maybe sometime when I am bored I will tell you all the problems that I have had with them. Since then it has been worse, but I digress.
My main question for you guys is this: What is a fair price to ask for my vehicle, I don't know if I should go with the blue book or what. The car is a 2000 9-3, with 28,000, tinted windows, two sets of wheels and tires(one 17' and one 15'), new front struts/shocks, new front brakes, black on black leather (basically a loaded base model), and automatic. I want to sell it quick but I dont want to have to "give the car away". My intentions are to place an add on the Saabnet classified and Auto & RV. I was just unsure of a fair price.
For those of you interested(which is probably few at best): The Z car(1973 240z) build up is coming along quite nicely. I now have eibach springs, tokicko struts, holley red series electric fuel pump w/regulator, NISMO competition oil pump, short shifter with new shift bushings, SU carbs with polished intake and SM needles, headers with 2.5in exhaust, unilite distributor, Taylor 8.5mm wires, polished and balanced crank. With the combination of the bigger block (2.8l as opposed to 2.4)flattop pistons and my e88 head my car will be running 10.4:1 compression. I am about two and a half weeks from completion and getting as excited as ever.
Regards,
I thank you for all of the help this board has given me,
Chris Campbell
