the lexus sc300 accel numbers were for the manuals & based off 'cartest.exe'. It's a little slower than the N/A Supra of similar vintage. Same chasis, same motor, same tranny, Lexus being ~300 lbs heavier.
the 230hp Legend LS coupe w/ 6 spd were pretty darn fast. Again, hard to find. Most of the Legend coupes I see around here (NYC) are slammed and rolling on big cheap chromed rims with shoddy body work/paint.
There was a problem w/ the electrochromatic? center AC/Stereo display of the SC300. They burn out easily and are expensive to replace. The vague shifter just feels like worn bushings and/or tranny/motor mounts (which supposedly are expensive to replace because they're active hydraulic). Perhaps the cars I drove were dilapidated because used car owners could not afford to keep early 90's Lexus properly repaired.
Good luck on your hunt! Go for a later vintage Lexus SC300 manual if you can. Powerhouse Engineering/FMAX has bolt on single BIG turbo kits for the NA 2JZGE motor which can produce 450+ rwhp.
