On january 1, of this year a friend of the family and mechanic who does has done a couple of things on my car when my father and i havent had the time ordered the gas funnel piece on my 88 9kt. This is the plastic that drops into the side of the tank i belive its a ventilation hose or somesort and it was leaking gas. he ordered it from a saab dealer (stealer) in auburn ma. (No names... figure it out) It has been seven months still not here. Over the time all of us were getting fed up. with numerous calls to saabUSA many of which were not answered finally about a month ago we had word from saab taht the part would is in. Go to dealership and it's not there. They tell us at dealership that there are none in the country. Saab told us there was a recall on the part and mmanufacturing was discontinued.

yesterday we were on rt 9 in framingham and decided to try our luck at saab city.. There was a man there in parts from Charles River Saab covering for them in framingham. His name was John. I cannot say enough about him. John called up his shop (charles river) and found out they had 2 of the parts we needed in stock.. We were in framingham. He went out of his way to not only cash us out at SaabCity for a part from Charles river saab but he met us at charles river saab on his way home since parts dept close at 12 pm and it was a little after. Needless to say we got our part, finally after 7 months. So what i am getting at after this long long long spiel is that if you ever need parts in the mass area that are dealer only.. Go see JOHN at CHarles River saab. I cannot say enough about the help he gave us and how he went above and beyond his call of duty. im just not used to this kind of service from good old __(saab dealer)________ in auburn mass.
Sorry for the rant, just wanted to put in a good word for john at charles river saab.
