I used to work as a warehouse mgr. for a bedding store and I would have to visit several stores thru-out southern New England..
One store's phone # for my office was a finger fumble away from a bank nearby and there would be many calls by folks thinking they reached the bank...after many courteous answers and such I started pretending I was
the bank and would try and answer some of there ?'s.
Some people would be so unaware they would even be readily give out their
cr-card #'s and /or account #'s w/o even ask why they would need to!
After this brief convo I would instruct them they would need to come down to the branch and ask for someone like Mitch Kupchak or Hal Jalykakik-
I never wrote them down or used them but just pretty much got them to feel as if they got thru and such -- just wish I could have been a fly on the wall when they got the bank and asked for the name I gave them!!!
The guys in that store/warehouse would be laughing in the mornings I showed up just waiting for the next call!!!!
