Yup, the Typhoon is a sloop with a main and jib. See the link below for more info. I would like to get new sails, including a furling jib so I don't have to leave the cockpit. I am getting married in May though, so sails are being put on the back burner for now.

Weather-wise, the Sound is usually tame enough for my boat, although Cape Dory's are built more solidly than most. She's nice and heavy for her size and has a full keel so she rides quite nicely. Sure, you can get a little wet when the Sound acts up but that's part of the fun of a little boat! :)
