For you folks who've had your RE730 Gen1's replaced, what did the tread wear look like and how many miles did you have on them?
I just talked to the B-stone shop that I'd bought my incredibly noisy 730's from and they said that the noise was due to uneven wear which was due to my car being out of alignment. I have about 15k on the tires and just had an alignment done about 7-8k ago. They did offer me a better price of about $98 each for new 730's, and while that's about 10% less than I paid for my Gen1's I still hate to buy new tires after just one year.
The reason I'm questioning this is that the info for the 730 Gen2's states that the tread pattern was revised to "minimize irregular wear and the resulting increase in noise".
thanks, Mike
