This isn't really an endorsement I guess, but I've had the same Crimestopper POS alarm in my 2-door for three years now. It was $100 from Sound Conceptions - cheaper than most "name brand" alarms. It's functioned flawlessly, which I can't say about the supposedly "reputable" Code Alarm unit I have in the '90 SPG. When I had some problems adding an external feature, I had no problem getting ahold of them on the phone and they were happy to answer questions, which I also can't say about the Code Alarm. *They* told me to "call a professional" because they "don't support end users." Nice.
Anyway, this isn't an endorsement. Bottom line: I wouldn't dump $350 into ANY alarm unless it also waxes and polishes the paint when armed. With the state of modern electronics being what it is, I wouldn't really hesitate to buy a smaller brand and save a couple hundred. Hell, do the installation yourself - it's not hard with most alarms. Check my website.
