Hey Trevor,
Agreed that guy was a jerk. How about you?
What would it have taken to slow a little, let him in front of you & let him be gone.
Was it really so important for you to "win" that situation? Was he a hopped up hillbilly with a shot gun in the car? Maybe he was a preppy on his way to a date or maybe he was a hard working guy who'd just got a call that someone had just gone to the ER & was dying.
Who know's what his story was, who cares. A little courtey on your part & he would have been gone & you could have been glad for helping someone who was in a hurry rather than be so mad you had to post it to vent.
Try a little courtesy, consider the possibility that "the other guy" just may have a greater need that you & you just may find you'll live longer. If the stress doesn't get you, a pointless car accident could. Either way you got to your destination at the same time, but you arrived stressed out when you could have been relaxed & happy. Basic racing courtesy says you allow the faster car to pass, that applies to the highway too.
Focus on your responsibility to make society better, rather than getting what's yours.
George M
