I read the initial message from Scott the moment he posted it. But this happened at the same moment that I received a very disturbing e-mail about something completely different. So I have had no time in the last couple of days to reflect on the sad news about a highly admired SAABer.
What I would like to say is that I have had many close calls with accidents. Including a spell lasting several weeks in hospital with many broken bones. I can therefore clearly identify with this sad news.
Given the time diffrence between the UK and the US, I am likely going to be asleep when the service starts. But I shall say a prayer each for un-known friends, as we english like to put it. I hope that someone on this board can put a flower on the coffins as a gesture for all of us who cannot attend due to distance or other good reasons.
I too have kids, and cannot describe how I would feel if I was in the same situation. I just hope that St.Peter will turn a blind eye on the exploits of the two new arrivals, who are starting a SAAB owners club in heaven. And all in good taste.
May God bless their souls. Strength to their family and all who will be attending the service.
