I understand that for many in the market, the current feel of advertising is goo, great even.. but to sell me, the intellectual type (i guess) I want infromation that allows me to make my own decision. When they don't put that in my face, I get tthe impression they don't have it. If I use the message Saab is sending in the commercial as a motivator to buy their car, then I am just as apt to by most other cars out there because the ad says the same thing as all those other ads, "you'll enjoy driving this car". So I step back and I see an ad that looks just like the pontiac ad in its message, just like all the other ads out there.

However... this may indeed be just what Saab wants... To have the 9-3 seen as an equal choice to any other car I might think of when it comes to "driving excitement".

The new 9-3 is ok.. I haven't driven it yet though, so this is based on the messages I have gotten here , in advertising and at the SOC. In fact the most powerful presentation I have seen so far, was the tech session ont he new 9-3 at the SOC.

Saab, people are not that stupid. If you show them the active rear steerign like the way we saw it at the SOC, you will impress people. If you show them how you have redesigned the front end to create a more stable platform they will be impressed... **then** show them how it translates into a car that puts that smile on the happy guy.. facts make me a happy driver , not fluff.
