If you search the 9-5 BB for "Forge BPV" you'll find Coolkinght's original Forge post dated 05.Jun.02, & his follow-up Hyperboost comparison dated 26.Jul.02. In the original post he notes, "...if the Hyperboost BPV comes as they say with a piston in alloy and Teflon coating, it might be better...". Then, in the follow-up he notes "one extra seal" on the Hyper valve.
I also have to question which grease he was actually using on the Forge, since his 1st post references M1 & his 2nd post suggests either copper grease or brake grease. Forge told me NOT to use any metallic-based grease. Maybe Coolknoght got his valve thru someone other than Forge Motorsport, & they gave him different recommendations?
If you wander thru the links provided on "The Great Diverter Valve Face-Off" you'll come across other comments about the 007P's improvements. My feeling is Stratmosphere identified some of these early issues & addressed them in their Hyperboost. Then, I think Forge "improved" upon the "improvements." As I said earlier, I'm sure EITHER VALVE works perfectly fine, & that part of my decision was based on size & appearance. Another part of my dedcision is the fact that Stratmosphere didn't answer my questions while Forge did. I'm not trying to convert anyone, I've simply decided to get the Forge & I'm offering to be the catalyst for a slight discount if others are interested in the same valve.
