I've got an ATI all-in-wonder video card, which includes a TV tuner (allows you to view TV on your PC monitor) and video outputs (composite out and S-video out) which allow you to view your computer on a TV. It also includes software which enables hard-drive video recording (like a TiVo).

I use it mainly to watch DVDs or play Pac-Man upstairs in the living room. New ones come with a radio-frequency remote control, but I prefer my radio-frequency mouse and keyboard.

There are plenty of other video cards which have some of these features, but the ATI card seems to have the most comprehensive set of multimedia features.
