Maine Winter Rally needs your help

Dec 7 is the Maine Winter Rally in Rumford, ME using some of the same stages as the Maine Summer. A few of us are putting together a Saab Stage Crew to work two or so of the stages. A stage crew needs a minimum of about nine people to properly man a stage and the whole rally needs at least two, if not three, full stage crews to run any decent number of stages. You need two bodies to run the start control, plus a radio operator; at least one safety marshal and a radio op at a midpoint area such as a designated spectator area; and two control workers plus a radio op at the finish control. And then you need someone who can oversee the operation, the stage captain. Ideally you would have a few other safety marshals at any sideroads along the stage as well.
In recent times rallies have been shortened, delayed and even cancelled due to a lack of marshals and timing control workers. This is a travesty and should not be allowed to happen. What is even worse, is that the New England Subaru Impreza club (ack! Their website is http://www.clutchdrop.com) is also putting together a stage crew for Maine Winter. We need to show that there is a base of rally workers from other groups of enthusiasts other than those newfangled AWD machines.
Mike White has sounded the bugle here before, but since he's competing in the rally, I've taken up the reigns. Please let me know asap if you will be able to come help us out a the Maine Winter Rally!
