One-off plastics manufacturer

Call me crazy [...] but I'd like to be able to see what's a head of me, up the hill and slightly to the right, but I can't with the rear-view mirror where it is. Oh, I'm not blaming the mirror, I know I need one and it's never done anything to me personally, but the location of the windshield/roof junction make seeing even stop lights difficult in Saabs. (I shouldn't complain as much--it's even worse in a MB C-coupe.)
So, I'm looking for someone who could manufacture a new, longer arm for the rear-view mirror, fufilling two ends: 1) gets the mirror out of the useful line-of-vision by putting it just forward of the manual sunroof crank; 2) redirects the overhead lighting down.
Do these people exist? What would they be listed as in the yellow pages?
Thanks,
Nathan
Yes, I know I'm a nut job.
