First of all, many thanks for your suggestions and input!! After carefully editing my letter based on some of your comments, I faxed and e-mailed it to the owner of the dealership. Within several hours, I received a long distance phone call from the service manager apologizing for the situation and misunderstandings. He claimed that the distributor cap (!) and neutral safety switch were on back order, but had come in that morning. Within several hours of my phone call, he had called my dad that the car was ready for pick up. Haven’t seen the bill yet or spoken with my dad about the reception that he received when he picked up the car, but will post and advise later.
Many thanks again for letting me vent!!!!!
