It's hard to compare anything to it. My father the die hard Porsche fanatic has converted. He has sworn to always keep a Z06 in the garage. He ran lap times in his Z06 (on street tyres!) at Hallett, within 6 seconds of his best time in his old 911 GT2 car! I agree with him; the cars are absolutely amazing to drive. ...and the power, Oh Lord, the POWER! It's not of this world. How many cars can you buy used in the high thirties that has horsepower in the neighborhood of 400? This is the first Corvette, ever, that has the ability to stop and to turn.
J, if you haven't had the chance. Do yourself a favor, run to the nearest Chevy dealer and testdrive a Z06. You'll never believe how well they drive. If you told me that a Corvette could be a 911 Turbo Killer, I would have never believed you, until now.
Cheers,
Brian.
