Hi,
Can you believe that there is a waiting list for the fugly Volvo SUV?
I'm sick and tired of seeing commericals for it when I go to the movies.
Margins on SUVs are huge, and margins on sedans are most often negative.
If mindless trust-fund-baby zombies will spend their parents' hard earned
money on SUVs and in turn fund development of real cars whose sales are
heavily subsidized and sold at or below cost, I'm all for a Saab SUV! :-)
In fact, why doesn't GM just merge Saab and Hummer, keep the two factory
lines completely separate and development teams completely separate (note
on Hummer "engineer"s' passports that they're not to visit Sweden EVER)
and say that Saab is profitable. I wouldn't mind such accounting
trickery if it means saving Saab. :-) The name of new division will be
Saab-Hummer. You read it here FIRST!!! :-)
thanks
Jae
