You've always been able to get more horsepower for less money in Jap or American cars. That's not the point. And give me 250 TURBO Swedish horses with some torque I can drive with as opposed to 260 tiny Japanese horses with a torque peak at 4000+ rpms.
250hp in a 9-3SS V6 is really good news to me. I'm usually a 4 cylinder turbo fan, but I've been driving and selling a lot of V6 Arcs lately and I'm beginning to see the light and feel the V6 wail. Don't go comparing Saab to eveyone on the basis of published horsepower and price. We've never and will never win those wars.
You see the glass as half empty. I see Saab moving from 205hp and 230hp, to 175hp, 210hp and eventually to 250hp in their small car.
