battery degradation

Occurs mainly when a discharge (even small) condition causes sulfur accumulation on the plates. Temps in excess of 110 F around the battery will also cause sulfation. Depending on what climate you live in, both of these conditions may exist. On the newer Saabs, the off key discharge seems to be significant, and I believe contibutes to battery degradation, esp. if the car sits two or more days between driving.

Any one ever put an ammeter measure on an off key 9-5 ? If so I'd be interested in knowing the reading
