I have owned a couple of 1991 E classes (W124 - your is a W123 I think) and it is frustrating to work on because there is no such think as a Bentley's. Mercedes seems to think it best if only dealers have factory repair info. Also the owners tend not to be into do-it-yourself repairs, so a lot of the bb is taken up with people asking about wheels and tire combinations, stereo upgrades, and the like. Parts and repairs at the dealer are expensive (I paid $450 to have two front brake hoses replaced) and indy folks have the same lack of knowledge problem unless they purloined a factory manual set somewhere. That said, they are wonderful cars that love to be driven much faster than you can go in this country.
