(BTW, I have my V1 mounted just right and even with the rearview, seems to work fine.)

The related question:
When i first got the V1 I had a different car. "Hard" wired it in running the supplied telephone-type cable across the front of the headliner and down the A pillar. Unfortunately when I sold the car I neglected to pull the wire out so it's gone. Is this a standard 4-wire phone cord or is there something special about it that I'd need to go back to V1 to replace?

BTW, I currently have the coiled wire, cig. lighter affair dropping straight down from the mirror to the lighter socket. Not very stealth. I was actually stopped one night on westbound I-84 just west of the Hudson River and only given a warning by a NYS Trooper. The thing was on and in plain view. Never a mention.
