I'm generally not a fan of leasing, but cheap interest rates and overproduction have offered a window of opportunity to a point where I'm thinking of leasing a new 9-5 just for grins.

I think you should schedule out your cost to buy and maintain the car over the next 36 months; used car loans are still costly (7% last I looked) and you should try to get a three year warranty for that price. If that's cheaper than the lease, then buy it. If its not cheaper, or its the same, or you can't get a three year warranty, lease a new car to take advantage of the discount and match the warranty period to your lease commitment. In other words, a car is a depreciating asset that requires maintenance/repair costs. Anytime you can fix your cost you are better off.

Its interesting that GM offers the loyalty rebate on any GM product, and did not limit it to just SAAB. Are they trying to build the brand or what?
