Actually, I believe if you look a bit closer... When you put the seat and rear wall down, you can leave the rear window and bed covers in place giving you a relatively closed environment for winter and bad weather travelling while carrying long and low loads (like plywood or other lumber). Also, when the passenger compartment is closed, the bed is only slightly shorter (a couple of inches, I think) than a short-bed pick-up - so not that small. When you drop the wall and seats, it's as long as a long-bed. All in all, I think a lot more useful than say, a Ford Explorer Sport which has a much shorter, fixed bed size. I've considered one from time to time, because most of the time, I need passenger hauling capabilities, but a couple of times per year, I need truck capabilities. It seems to do a reasonable job of both. Oh, and it is ugly! Luckilly Chevy has introduced a version this year without all the Pontiac grey side cladding, which helps some.
Of course, I'm talking about a vehicle for my wife drive... I'm too much in love with my Saab (93 9000 CS).
My 2 cents,
MitchB
