Read a shot article in a car rag stating the Saabaru project is go . Due for 2007, they refer to it as the 9-1 and although it would be built on the Impreza platform (the next one I presume and hope), it would not share sheet metal as earlier implied, and would have a vertical four banger and come in FWD as well as AWD.
Impossible to know if this information is reliable but it sounds better than earlier rumors.
