Well you're in luck!
I actually sent in an oil sample in for analysis.
Some wear metals were a bit high, which is not unusual for a new engine during break-in (or as our UK friends would say, running-in). The oil was on the thin side of the SAE 30 spec (almost a 20 weight), and a few of us are guessing it was SAAB 0W-30, and not a 0W-40 as others have suggested.
The oil filter media did not have any unusual appearance, and I didn't see any metal specks or anything. You'd probably need a microscope to appreciate that sort of thing...
