Keep the hatchback lovers happy and make some new customers come in by making both?
I still think the only reason Saab is/was in trouble is that they had a very limited model lineup.
2002...9-3 3-door, 5-door, convertible...9-5 4 and 5-doors. 5 models.
2003...9-3 SS. 9-5 4 and 5 door. Down to 3 models.
Ok...1 more model for next year. 9-2.
How about some variants of the current models. The BMW 3 series comes in how many flavours? 2 door coupe, sedan, station wagon even.
And our 3 series is a sedan...with a convertible next year.
WHEEE! So many choices! How can I choose? Many people might choose to go elsewhere I bet.
