I first washed my car very well. I then used the Mother's California Clay-bar kit. I then washed a second time. Then I took Meguiars Scratch-X and used this on the entire car, I was recommended this to get rid of all the spider webs and swirls that the previous owner had put in the paint by improperly using a orbital buffer. I then washed again. Lastly I used Zymol Caranuba Polish/Wax. A couple tips, don't think that just a clay-bar will make your car look like a 100bucks, they do work well but you have to wax after a good claying, otherwise you are leaving the paint very vunerable to contaminants since clay takes it all off. Washing between should always be done so you dont endup with too many detergents or products on your car at any time, this is just what I think, but if you dont have the time, I say for-go the excess washes. After pampering your baby like this, make sure to never use dish detergent or other products like that, make sure your soaps state that they will not remove wax. well, thats my .02 cents.~
