Quote from Colin Chapman :
"Adding power makes you faster on the straights. Subtracting weight makes you faster everywhere."
I guess he didn't realize at the time that SH-AWD was capable of doing this.
And then this from Mr Chapman:
"Simplify, then add lightness"
I kind of like the Jackie Stewart quote though, it reflected the skill set of an F1 driver both on and off the track, a quote from the movie Grand Prix :
"Before you leave I want to tell you something. Not about the others, but about myself. I used to go to pieces. I'd see an accident like that and be so weak inside that I wanted to quit - stop the car and walk away. I could hardly make myself go past it. But I'm older now. When I see something really horrible, I put my foot down. Hard! Because I know that everyone else is lifting his."
All in all I think a better movie than Days of Thunder although I recollect Robert Duvall gave a pretty good performance as crew chief.
