Volvo XC90 - Torque for Caliper Bracket bolts Posted by Sondeen [Email] |
Any XC90 owners out there? I am planning to replace front and rear pads and rotors on our recently acquired 2013 XC90. I need some help on Caliper Bracket bolt torque spec.
I am finding much conflicting information for the proper Torque values for the caliper bracket bolts. Some web sources say the front bolts are torqued to a value, then tightened an additional 60 degrees, and that they are a torque to yield one time use. Web sources quote various values all over the place. The rotors I bought are Volvo authentic PN 31400893 rear (308mm) and 31471824 front (328mm). Front rotors came with caliper bolts, so this suggests they are one time use, but included instructions sheet that came with the rotors gives a torque but does not mention anything about the extra 60 degrees. Between youtube, various Volvo forums, and the instructions with the rotors, I find zero consistency.
Is is possible that Volvo changed the torqueing process / specs over the years? Change seems drastic to me.
