Peugeot, Plymouth, Olds and Daewoo.. Plymouth and Olds weren't a problem as they were clones of other brands. Plymouth was sold by Chrysler dealers which are still in business, and with Olds their were few stand alone Olds dealers, most having other GM lines enabling warranty work.
I was at a VW Peugeot dealer when Peugeot went out after 1989. Dealers didn't sell new Peugeots anymore, but continued to to a brisk warranty, parts and service biz. For most Peugeot dealers, selling the cars was a nuisance to get to the parts and service biz.
Daihatsu dealers where usually duals or multi line too, few stand alone, but Daewoo, the latest casualty, had many stand alone franchises which folded entirely.
