she loves it. It has been very reliable. Has the base engine, 2.7 V-6, maybe only 170 hp, which is a little lean for such a big car. And it is a big car, plenty of rear seat room, if your friend needs that. If he doesn't, he might look for something a little sportier. Not sure how S version seats are, wife's are pretty comforatable, lacking side bolsters. Only small pass through from trunk, rear seat doesn't fold down. Good size trunk. Good driving visibility.
She's coming up on 100,000 miles, we're planning on giving car to daughter next year when she turns 16, wife will probably get another Millenia, she really loves it. I use to think it was great car, pretty spoiled now with current car.
The Millenia does pretty sharp depreciation, used ones are a great buy for such a reliable, big car. I think that her 1997 still has a good look.
