I haven't had to replace an evaporator myself so I don't know but the factory manual mention to start removing the dash board so that is a job as bad as they get (10-15 hours).
35mpg I think is on the high side if not settle for 50mph or lower in speed.
Engine needs a timing belt every 70K miles.
Upper/front strut mounts can rip in the rubber joint
Power window switches gets clogged up by coke and coffe just like the older 900/9000
Otherwise these cars are very bullet proof (like the 240 and 740 series before).
Parts are about the same as for Saab.
