You're making it sound way worse than it really is. It's not that hard to get a good launch with a 9000 if it has ok tires and suspension. The 330i might get the best launch, but it'll be overtaken very fast by even a mildly tuned 9000 or 9-5.
As for Laguna Seca: Even though I don't agree that the difference is anywhere near that big, especially not if the 9000 has a decent suspension and tires, it doesn't really matter for people who usually drive on the street. In normal road conditions the Saab will be quicker. I certainly know what I find the most important.
And don't even think of driving aggressively in the 330i during winter.
