By request, here I am on this board :-) I wouldn't worry at all about Marysville, Ohio. My husband's '04 TL was one of the first of the new generation off their line, it is now 19 months old and 40K miles. It has been flawless, except for a couple rattles that others have experienced as well (and of course are not unique to TL's). Hondas and Toyotas have been made in the US for several years, and they are both consistently rated at the top of every list.
It really depends on what you are looking for in a car. I think you will find the Acuras and Hondas are more reliable than the Audis and BMW's. Personally I have always liked the tighter feel of the German cars, but my parents have had 7 or 8 BMW's over about 32 years, and have always had constant reliability issues. The new TL is a very nice car, much more sporty than the former 3.2 TL's. It took my husband a long time to get used to the tight suspension, as it is less forgiving and harsher than even my 9-5 Aero. The Acura seats have improved, but Saab seats are still more comfortable. The TL has all the electronic stuff, great DVD audio system, bluetooth, XM, navigation (optional), etc. Check the size of the trunk if that matters to you, it's small and the seat does not fold down (at least not in the '04 TL). All said, I still like my 9-5 Aero the best. Test drive them all and buy the one that makes you smile :-)
