why I bought a beemer

Needed a second car since moving to "lawnguyland" from Brooklyn. My wife's metrocard doesn't get her too far anymore. She's taking driving lessons and (the good Lord willing) will have a license some time next month. We're probly the only family in Nassau County with one car ('05 9-5 Aero). Went looking for a compact SUV, since she refuses to show up wherever in a perfectly lovely 9-3 or 9-5 wagon. Looked at every one under the sun, Buick, Kia, Suzuki, Lexus, Chevy, Pontiac, Volvo. Sat in a BMW x-3. Know what? It says "drive me" like none of the others. Damn, why can't Saab have a vehicle like that????? The Saab SUV is just so GM, it's awful. I looked at it at the Saab/Buick dealer. No reason not to buy a Rainier cheaper than the Saab, if that's the size you want. Anyway, if Saab had an SUV, SAV, crossover, the size of the Chevy Equinox or Pontiac Tempest, I probably would have bought it in a second. But, such is life.
I had to laugh, the BMW salesman didn't have a clue about Saab. I invited him to sit in the car. He couldn't get over the sport seats.
btw, before the beemer, my first choice was the Suby B-9 Tribeca. LOve the Alfa nose, and the interior is superior.
GM, pay attention, all we are sayyyying is give Saab a chance.
