I looked on the volvo boards but I value the opinions here since I have been lurking around for a few years and have picked up quite a bit, can anyone give me their opinion on the 06 Volvo XC 90, we are contemplating moving out of our 9-5 SW and into the XC.
Other than it being safe and my wife loving it I don't know much about them.
This weekend we are looking at an 06 2.5t w/ AWD, third row,sunroof, heated leather (I forgot the name of all the packages something like versatility(3rd row), premium (roof), climate (heated seats)
MSRP is 44.7K
I was quoted 39.3K
The price may be a bit more negotialble but it sounds resonable to me, am I way off?
Also am I crazy to expect 17ish for a trade in on the 9-5? Linear w/ Premium, Sun roof, 34k miles.
Any Pros/Cons to the XC over the 9-5 SW
Our rationl for getting into an SUV:
We do need(or want) the AWD we ski up in NH alot and the piece of mind getting up the driveway will be nice. Third row will be for hauling relatives when we "need" to. Have twins who need to fit in their Britax setas in the second row (anybody have these seats in one of these vehicles?), if they don't fit we keep the Saab.
We looked into Honda Pilots, (wife didn't like the styling), 9-7 (no third row, Acura MDX (expensive Pilit) and the monsters (Tahoe/Yukon/ are out of the question for me).
If it was up to me we'd keep the 9-5 I am not a fan of SUV's in general but the XC seems pretty carlike.
