I know 99% of this board can't stand OnStar, but as I was helping my sister choose a car, the only reason she wanted a Saab, was to get the OnStar stuff. I would think anyone who goes out into remote snowy areas might really appreciate the benefits of telematics. The 9-7x is the **only** vehicle (ok, maybe the old Acura MDX has the near-defunct analog version), if that helps sell the Saab. Otherwise, there's also the very well reviewed and MOST safe SUV ever tested.. the Mazda CX-7. It's smallish, but capacious, gets pretty good mpg, neat turbo-4.. it could almost BE a Saab.
